Welcome to our webpage of “Planning and Engineering Study for Housing Sites in Yuen Long South – Investigation” (the Study). In November 2012, the Planning Department and the Civil Engineering and Development Department commissioned the Study which lasts for 30 months. The overall objective of the Study is to examine and optimise the development potential of the degraded brownfield land in Yuen Long South for housing purpose and other uses with supporting infrastructure and community facilities, and to improve the existing environment.

Community Liaison Team

In order to enhance the communication with the potentially affected households and to enhance their understanding about the development proposals for the Yuen Long South (YLS) development, a Community Liaison Team has been set up. Other than providing relevant updated information of the YLS development, the Community Liaison Team will also collect the views and concerns of the potentially affected households and provide assistance to the potentially affected households as appropriate.

Stage 1 Public Consultation period of the Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas has been extended to 14 January 2020.
Stage 1 Public Consultation period of the Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas has been extended for a month to 31 December 2019 to allow the public more time to consider the study findings and express their views.
The Civil Engineering and Development Department launched the Stage 1 Public Consultation exercise for the Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas.
